On behalf of myself and our staff, welcome to Monarch Park Montessori!
My 30-year journey in Montessori has been fulfilling both as a teacher, and as a principal. Not only have I had the privilege of imparting wisdom and knowledge to the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and influencers; I have met many great families along the way and learned a great deal from my students. Being a Montessori student myself, along with my 3 children, I truly believe in the value of Montessori, and I’m honored and privileged that I am able to continue to share this with you and your children.
Fostering a Love of Learning in our children is the central theme that guides all our thoughts and actions here at Monarch Park Montessori Our small class sizes, supervised by certified staff experienced in the Montessori Method of teaching, allow us to focus on the individual interests and needs of each child entrusted to our care.The Montessori Method focuses on allowing a child to learn in a hands-on setting, which is designed to cater to each child’s individual needs and unique personality. Children are introduced to many new themes and concepts in the prepared environments of our classrooms. These themes spur their curiosity and excitement and motivate them to work with materials independently. They develop scientific and critical thinking skills working with the Montessori materials. They discover learning through interaction with each other and develop character, good manners and courteous behavior. In our school’s safe environment, with a high teacher to student ratio, our children are nurtured to grow socially, emotionally and intellectually.
Children are curious by nature and they love to explore. In our classrooms, we strive to constantly create environments that keep this joy of discovery kindled. As educators, we observe them through their developmental stages and guide them during these most important stages of their growth.
